Héron is the creative project of Henri Kinkead, a Quebec City native with a lifelong passion for folk music. From singing Neil Young covers in the living room with his dad to playing his first shows with his twin brother, Henri quickly found his way to songwriting and guitar. With Héron, he steps into the spotlight as a solo artist after performing across Quebec with his band Kinkead and backing various artists (Simon Kearney, Marco Ema, Jérôme 50).

For Héron, inspiration flows from Quebec’s musical heritage in all its forms. Folk songs, indie rock, and traditional music all shape Henri Kinkead’s sound. His intimate, poetic lyrics are deeply rooted in the landscapes of La Belle Province—from the Gaspé Peninsula to Parc Lafontaine
